WHO WE ARE |
Azura Stanley Hardware (a.k.a elektricPunk) is a British nu-metal/breakcore artist from North Yorkshire. Up until April of 2024, she exclusively used GarageBand for iPhone 6S to produce her music. Her favourite things are Jet Set Radio Future, regular Monster Energy, and Streetpass.
She didn’t start taking music seriously until 2023, when she released her first EP onto Spotify, that being Turn2Tears. It would be more experimental than her previous works, attempting to break out of her comfort zone she felt like she boxed herself into.
She would continue to upload some singles, gaining a crumb of popularity from her work on No Pain No Game, the soundtrack to Sonic Storm: The Time Trial Testfire. Her most popular song used to be Me!Me!Bokee Rezurrection, but it has since been dethroned by all of her tracks from Initialize EP.
Her biggest inspirations are the Prodigy, Fatboy Slim, Overseer, the Latch Brothers, and femtanyl.

“The Botanical Craze is a complete crackhead ass experience. I wanted to match that eye with the soundtrack, and the first thing I ended up finishing for the game was this song. I wanted to get a similar sound to PASSENGER OF SHIT, where y’know, it sort of disguised itself as a normal song, and then a really loud scream happens… and everything just goes off the deep end after that.
This track is nothing but raw unfiltered emotion and that’s why I love it so much. It’s not afraid to express itself. But I also completely stepped outside my comfort zone, and I’m very glad I did because I feel like I truly made an unchained unique sound that can’t be heard anywhere else.” – elektricPunk

Nerreave is a self-taught big beat musician from California. He rollerblades as a hobby, going out skating at night while listening to some of his favourite tunes.
He’s most well known for his work on Flame Quest, showcasing his expertise in the art of FM synthesis. He would later gain some traction from the tracks he contributed to for the indie game Butterflies Episode 2: Getting Up. Around this time, he approached elektricPunk asking to contribute to her projects, and wrote the track Wait For the Go, composed for Sonic Storm.
After releasing his single “Fuck Living Today (Or Fuck Me Instead)”, he would dedicate most of his time as a musician to learn more about the intricacies of music theory and how he could apply them to his future works.

WAIT FOR THE GOfrom Initialize EP |
“I wrote this a while ago, but only when I was able to fully come back to it did I see that I achieved exactly what I was after. When you’re given an image of a dark night city, most of what I could think of was my personal experience of loud music, rollerblading, and a lot of improvising. Acting on that internal want definitely brought out the best feeling I could’ve, and that’s a win in my books.” – Nerreave

CHOICESfrom Initialize EP |
“The track turned out to be pretty intense, ha ha. I was approached by Azu to make a song for the main menu. Originally the song was a lot faster but we decided that it would be better slowed down for the game. The general vibe that I was going for was a song that conveys the feeling of what it’s like to have a bunch of things on your mind but you’re unsure about what to focus on, eventually getting a moment of clarity (Is that too pretentious? Oh my, I hope not).
What was I feeling while making it? I can’t tell you because I don’t remember. I was probably in a trance while making it. All of my good songs are made when I completely zone out and just let the sounds take shape. Anyway, go stream the songs! Gimme that sweet sweeeet moolah so that I can buy more equipment I never use! Or don’t. I can’t force you to do anything…” – CubeNatural

VEXXEDfrom Initialize EP |
“I started making music in late 2019-early 2020. At first it was all chiptune stuff. But upon replaying Jet Set Radio after a long time… It came back to me. The flashbacks of listening to Fatboy Slim, Hideki Naganuma… and when BRC was announced I discovered an artist whose style influenced my current sound today as well.
My favorite track is Vexxed, because it’s a sort of blend between Jersey Club and breakbeat, a style which was actually inspired by CubeNatural! (Dude makes W music) It kind of gave me this feeling of being fast and free, which is what Sonic is all about and I tried to replicate that urban, carefree, speedster itch.” – Saturn!
